Super Bowl LVII is quickly approaching!  Every year, millions of viewers watch the Super Bowl.  Last year’s Super Bowl recorded nearly 92 million TV viewers.  This year’s Super Bowl will be held at State Farm Stadium in beautiful Glendale, Arizona.  The world-renowned game will commence on Sunday, February 12th at 6:30 PM EST.  The match-up will be Chiefs vs Eagles.  Whether you are a die-hard football fan or like the game solely for the anticipated commercials, there’s room for everyone at a Super Bowl party.

The key to a successful Super Bowl party is the FOOD.  Fun fact, the Super Bowl is the second-highest eating day for Americans (behind Thanksgiving).  As a host, you can choose to take on all the food by yourself, or you can choose to go potluck style.  Either option the staple food item would definitely be the chips and assorted dips.  There are so many tasty options for dipping those tortilla chips including queso, buffalo chicken dip, spinach and artichoke dip, or onion dip.  A fan favorite is a seven-layer dip, which mixes refried beans, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, cheese, green onions, and olives or tomatoesall together in one enjoyable dipping side.  You can choose a theme for the food as well, some ideas include a taco bar, finger foods, pizza party, or American food like burgers and hotdogs.  I like the idea of finger foods, the more the merrier!  Some ideas for finger foods include wings, pretzel bites, a veggie tray, mozzarella sticks, deviled eggs, meatballs, and a fruit platter, just to name a few.  Don’t forget the desserts either!  Your local grocery store will usually have some cupcakes, cookie cakes, or inexpensive cakes prepared in a Super Bowl theme.

For decorations, your local Dollar Tree always seems to have good and cheap decoration options.  You can keep it simple and grab some plates, napkins, cups, or utensils to match the team’s colors (red & white) and (teal & yellow).  Maybe some streamers and balloons to incorporate the colors as well.  Mardi Gras-style beads are always a fan favorite as well.  Whether or not your team is in the Super Bowl, you can still show support for both teams and the day itself, even if you have no skin in the game.

If you’re rooting for Chiefs or Eagles or rooting for Grammy-winning Rihanna’s halftime performance, Super Bowl LVII will be sure not to disappoint. Attending a Super Bowl in person is definitely bucket list material, but considering the most inexpensive ticket package starts at a whopping $4,972.50, a Super Bowl party is the next best thing.  Whether you’re hosting a party, attending a party, or just having a chill-at-home party with you and your family, the Super Bowl should be a lot of fun to watch.  And hey, if you have zero interest in the game of football, don’t forget the super cute Puppy Bowl will be held before the game if you want to watch some puppies on your TV instead!
